For this blog post I will be writing about something a little more personal. On Wednesday  my wife Shelley will be moving to the third trimester. We are super excited to be that much closer to having a child of our own. Still, we know that time will move a little bit slower from here on out.

Here are some of the baby's milestones that we have to look forward to in the third trimester:

BABY's Development:

Week 28- Baby's eyes open: The babies eyelids have formed and can open. Also, the baby has started to form eyelashes. Baby is gaining weight which helps smooth out it's wrinkly little body. Healthy babies born this ...

What sound will help your baby sleep at night???

Washer and dryer

An Electric Fan

The soft white noise That an electric fan emits is  recommended by many pediatricians to aide tired and fussy babies to sleep. The soothing sound will lull your baby to sleep in no time.

The Clothes Dryer

The calming sound your clothes dryer, although irritating to you, are sure to relax your fussy baby. The gentle hum combined with the soft, rhythmic tumble of the clothes will put baby right to sleep.

Hair DryerHair Dryer

This is one of the more surprising sounds on the list. However, parents who have tried it will tell you there's nothing better.

A Calming Ocean Surf

Best/Worst April Fool’s Joke Ever

As a child the natural instinct is to trust ones parents. It is just a basic fact of life that they are your protectors. This is a story about how that got shaken for me.

I was about six or seven years old and was enjoying some nice playtime in the bath, when suddenly my father, whom I trusted with my life, came running into the bathroom with panic in his eyes.

“Rob hurry, the house is on fire! We gotta get out! Hurry, HURRY!” He cried.

I was scared out of my mind. “Ok, I just need a towel.”
Naked as a Jay Bird

“No!” he exclaimed “There is no ...

One of the biggest things that parents need to learn about their new baby is how to get them to sleep. I don't know how they did it, but somehow my parents discovered that my little sister needed to have the rocking chair set near the bathroom, with the shower on and the vacuum running for her to fall asleep.

Comfortible Sleep is EssentialIt can be frustrating to have a child that won't sleep. Here are some steps from wikihow that should help you to avoid some of the sleepless nights:

  1. Give the baby some time to play and wind down before he or she goes to sleep. Don't get the baby worked up with vigorous games, or bedtime will be that much more difficult.
  2. Offer your baby the opportunity to eat or drink.
  3. Give your baby a warm bath. ...
  4. ...

Lower Risk of Sudden infant death syndrome (SIDS)
One of the saddest Things that can happen to new parents is something that can be avoided. Sudden infant death syndrome actually happens when an infant suffocates due to its inability to avoid objects in the crib. Here is a checklist of things to avoid to keep this tragedy.

Baby Safety is #1

  • Use a firm mattress in a safety-approved crib covered by a fitted sheet.
  • Make sure nothing covers the baby’s head.
  • Do not use pillows, blankets, sheepskins,or pillow-like bumpers in your baby's sleep area.
  • Place your baby on his or her back to sleep for naps and at night.
  • Use sleep clothing, such as a one-...

Most beautiful thing I've ever done

This is my baby's face. At 23 weeks it was already 1.6lbs. The tech looked at this pic and commented on how fat our baby's cheeks are. I love it.
